Question for mommies that pumped exclusively

I need your help....

I;ve been pumping exclusively now for 3.5 months.

DD is now drinking about 30 ounces of breastmilk a day (more or less) - and i;ve been pumping 5 times a day.

In the morning im able to get about 10 ounces and then i pump every 3-4 hours, 5 times a day and get a total of about 30 ounces.

I've build up a large frozen supply which is great but i need to ask you all a question....

Did you pump so frequently? or did you pump less times a day and were able to get the same amount of milk?

I now if i stay more than 4 hours - I am able to get more milk than usual - but im afraid to experiment too much because i don't want my milk supply to decrease.

Now that the weather is getting better and i also have a 2 year old - im wondering if I can spend less time pumping with the same success.

I don't really know...but I did find that once I was in my 3x a day pattern, I was able to keep it up for about 7 months.

for me the less i pumped the less i get. sorry i am no help. GL.

I had to also pump about 5 times a day to keep my supply up.

I pump 5 times a day. I tried cutting down to 4 times a day and I felt like my supply went down.
