Question for the day....
What do you think of people posting something and then deleting the post later because they "don't like" the responses they recieved.
I'm not talking about drama threads, I'm talking about a thread either telling a story or asking advice and then being deleted after they recieved advice they didn't like.

Re: Question for the day....
It depends.
If they're new & feel like they're getting bashed, then it's understandable that they would want to stop it. I think everyone is entitled to one post to delete.
If it's a reoccurring event with the same poster, then I think they lack the maturity and foresight of the response they're going to get from their post. Think more before posting or look at yourself as to why they feel the need to play victim.
So basically what Emily said.

Re: Question for the day....
i hate that with a passion. cause whether someone is getting bashed or not--they put it out there for ppl to give opinoins or discuss. i feel like ppl who do that--already know the answer they want or have made up their mind and post a topic or question, looking for ppl to reassure & agree with them that they are right. when they don't get what they want, they run around.
if you're gonna post it--stand by it.

Re: Question for the day....
I don't see anything wrong with it. I guess they feel that got their answer so why leave it out there to be bashed.

Re: Question for the day....
You mean deleting the OP, or the getting the entire thread deleted by Ron/Kim?
As someone already mentioned, I think that people need to stand by their posts. If they were bold enough to put it out there, then they need to stick it out.
I get annoyed when people ask for your opinion, and then they either 1. bash your response, or 2. get upset by what you have to say. That is absolutely reDICK in my book!!!!

I also agree, but it doesn't bother me either way. I would rather have the OP have it deleted than have 20 pages going on and on and on about how someone is getting bashed- or not getting bashed...

Re: Question for the day....
just my $.02.
some have asked us to remove because they wanted responses but didn't want someone they might have been speaking about to see the thread. Thus, when the answer(s) were received the OP asked for the thread to be removed.

Re: Question for the day....
I think a lot of times people are looking for validation in a particular circumstance, and when they don't get it, they pull it.

Re: Question for the day....
i agree with the "stand by your post" frame of mind.
if you're putting it out there, be a grown up and stick it out.
i also agree that people need to think twice before posting something "touch-y"

this was my thought.
Frankly, it doesn't bother me either way, but sometimes I miss the whole thread and then I see other threads eluding to it and wish I could have seen it.

Okay I see, it's all about curiosity! I can fix that. For a small fee I can give you access to all removed threads/posts etc! Any takers!

Re: Question for the day....
doesn't bother me. If the person is no longer comfortable with the post being out there, I think it is fine for them to remove it. Maybe they realized that they were being shortsighted and are embarrased by their original post and don't want further viewings (ie embarrassment) - esp for posts that are done in the heat of the moment.

Re: Question for the day....
I could care less. I hate the threads where the OP asks a ? knowing its going to cause BS. It's like they want to ask an a$$backwards question just to get the rise out of people.

Re: Question for the day....
I don't really care...I just think it's kind of funny how people sometimes don't like the answers they are getting and then pull the post.
