Re: question for the mommies
Hmmmm, thats funny, I heard the exact opposite. Plus everyone I know who had m/s ended up having a boy! I didn't have m/s and I had a boy, and then a boy and a girl.

Re: question for the mommies
I didn't have any m/s really and I had a girl. I have a friend who had m/s really bad both times and has two girls. I really don't think it has anything to do with the gender you are carrying but how your body reacts to all the hormonal changes.

Re: question for the mommies
Joseph - I carried all over & wasn't sick at all
Madeline - I carried a little pot belly in the front, gained very little weight but was more nauseous & tired. That could be because I also had a 1 year old to deal with. I still remember him saying all his new words & then imitating me vomiting.
eta. My theory is while the m/s varies from person to person - with the same person with 2 different pregnancies, the symptoms seemed to be more pronounced with a girl due to the higher level of estrogen.

Re: question for the mommies
With my son, I felt great, just a little tired, with my daughter, my body ached and I felt like crap for about 4-5 months.

Re: question for the mommies
Wow - so I guess there is no "real" theory... seems like it could go either way! Thanks for all your responses ladies! I'm just gonna have to wait it out becuase we've decided we're not going to find out the sex.. though it's gonna kill me! Happy Holidays everyone!

You will hear it until you give that last push! I opted not to find out the gender for any of my kids. And YES, the anxiousness of wanting to know does kill you lol but trust me, that moment when the dr. tells you "IT'S A ___" is the best feeling ever. Hang in there!
