Question for the moms that sell on ebay.
How do you know how much to charge for shipping....do you just guesstimate? I have a few items I want to list but I'm not sure what i should do about the shipping charge. TIA

Re: Question for the moms that sell on ebay.
Hmm, the postage rates just went up and it's really hard to just guess. A lot of it depends on size of the package/envie now as well as weight. I have a small scale I use. They are pretty inexpensive and are worthwhile so you don't end up losing out on the shipping because you underestimated the weight. If you know the weight and dimensions, you just put them on ebay and the shipping calculator will calculate the shipping based on the purchaser's zip code.

Re: Question for the moms that sell on ebay.
Get the weight before you ship. If you plan on doing a lot, buy a small postal scale for like $20. It was well worth my investment. Mine comes with a small postage chart that tells you the price depending on the weight and zip code to where you send it.
For example, a Parcel Post package weighing under 3 lbs would cost $3.63 to Zone 1 and $6.66 to Zone 8. I always use the highest price and throw a little onto that to cover "handling".
(Zone 1 would be like NY, NJ and Zone 8 would be say, CA.)
Also, those prices I gave you are from the old rate chart so I am sure they are a bit higher than that too.
You want the shipping to be worthwile, but also not too much considering the price of your item.
Ok ok, I can go on and on.... Totally feel free to FM me if you need more info, I have done PLENTY
