question for those of you who are currently selling?
how many people have come to see you place aprroximately? and how long hs it been on the market and have you gotten any offer????
Our co op has been on the market for a little over a month we have had about 7 showings and no offers yet.
We currently are half in contract to buy a house that we love- we did things in the wrong order unfortunately and Im starting to get worried.

Re: question for those of you who are currently selling?
right now, there are more sellers than buyers on LI according to a newsday article I read. I'm in the buying stages. This brings prices down which I LOVe, but its hard on sellers. But being on a the market for 1 month isn't that bad. Be patient

Re: question for those of you who are currently selling?
My house has been on the market for 3 months and we have had 3 open houses and had the most come to 1 which was about 7 couples. We had maybe 10 additional couples come with appointments. We also have dropped the price twice. It is really slow right now and we are really in no rush.

We've had our co op on the market for 3 months and have had 2 offers but we turned both down. too low. we get about 5-6 people/couples per open house. i think people get scared away when they hear we are doing it on our own but my mother was a realtor for 30 years so i'm just as good as a realtor!! hang in there..there is a buyer somewhere for all of us. good luck to you!!

Re: question for those of you who are currently selling?
be careful...guy at work had his house on the market and bought a house....never sold his other and now both are on the market to just see if he can rid of one...
i'm not sure why he won't rent one out????
would/could you do that? that's what i am doing with my condo until the market improves. i don't fully cover condo fees, mortgage, taxes and property insurance but come close...

I'm intersted too because I know usually you can tell a montivated seller and if you have turned two down with no counter offer than it doesn't seem like you are too motivated

we did counter both times. we asked them to go halfway and both buyers didn't counter back. we know what the others in the complex have gone for that weren't updated and despite the falling prices, we put a lot into it so we're not too willing to go below what the others have sold for. we're already listed at what the others sold for and these offers were just too low. if we have to wait it out we will. we're not looking for a house until we sell.

Re: question for those of you who are currently selling?
We are currently selling our house as well. Our house has been on the market now for 9 months. We have had some HORRIBLE luck though. We have had alot of bids (some of which we've countered) and 3 people put bids down that we've accepted, AND all 3 had the house inspected--- and all 3 have crapped out on us right as they were supposed to sign the contract! One couple just flat out dissapeared. One woman got cold feet and decided to buy a co-op instead of a house and the other couple broke up two days before signing. (yes, I'm serious) We are currently one of the lowest priced houses in our town (we have dropped the price a few times) and the house is in mint, mint condition (DH and I completely re-did the place-soup to nuts) and it is in complete move-in condition. We get a ton of traffic to see the place, but our fall back is that it is a 2 BR. Oh and we bought a new house in January... and we are paying 2 mortages

Re: question for those of you who are currently selling?
We had our co-op up for a little over a month in May/June when received the final accepted offer. We had several offers and countered on all except one. The person, who had the financials, put in a bid lower than the last one bedroom that had sold (we had a 2 bedroom).
To answer your original question, I would say that we must have shown it to at least 30 people during the two months.
