Question for those that got a positive on the 'plus' sign PG test
First of all, this is NOT me. A family member is trying to describe her 'plus' sign PG test to me over the phone. She said the vertical 'line' looks more like dark dots. It's almost as if it looks like a division sign. (A horizontal line with a dot above and a dot below.) The control line is dark.
This family member is not the brightest and I'm trying to talk her into buying another test.
If you got a positive on this test, was it a full vertical line? Or could it be almost dotted?
TIA! (Please don't quote)

Re: Question for those that got a positive on the 'plus' sign PG test
I would wonder if the test was faulty, when I was pregnant last time I got a test that clearly showed a positive, but I don't think the urine had completely soaked the part it was supposed to, and even though it showed positive, it wasn't a straight line, some bits were missing. I would still take another one.

I too would take another one but would wager to think she's pregnant. Being that any part of the plus line "developed" would be an indicator.
I know with my test, I got a full + right away. Then days later realized I should have taken a pic of it.... only the control line was dark and the plus line was disappearing.
Any bit of it turning should mean + but I'd do another test.

I would take another test, but as far as i remember any hint of that second vertical line is a positive pregnancy test.

Re: Question for those that got a positive on the 'plus' sign PG test
i had a false positive on one of those tests - i'll never take another one again. my line wasn't like you are describing, it was very thin - like a pencil line instead of a thicker "marker" line like it should be.
i would try and convince her to take another test. from what i have read - and i read extensively on testing! - those tests are really the only ones that can give a true false positive.

Tell her it means shes having octuplets I bet it is a positive and maybe the test line was off somehow...I bet that division symbol is a straight line. Tell her to get a digital...you can read those clear as day

I had a full vertical line on all the tests I took. I would just go out and get a digital test.

I third this also....mine were like headoverheels explained and they were BFN's in reality. I would suggest a FRER or a digital. I just think that while the digitals or FRER are a bit more they give you more peace of mind and are much easier to read

The test is most likely faulty. The same thing happened to me and ultimately- it was negative.
