Question for those that have donated a car
When do you exchange the title?
The American Cancer Society sent me a packet with paperwork that I need to mail into them. Along with the paperwork I am supposed to mail them the title to the car. Then they send someone to pick up the car after they get all the paperwork sorted. I'm a little weirded out about mailing the title to my car. Is this normal? TIA!!!!

I donated a car a few years ago. I exchanged the title of the car and car for with the donation receipt.

We were pretty weirded out about this, too, especially just sending the title through the mail. But it was fine. (Make copies of everything just to be safe!)
