question for those that take the LIRR from ronkonkoma to penn during peak
I never take the train during the rush, but I need to be in Penn station by 9am tomorrow, what is the parking situation at Ronkonkoma these days?
what do I need to know about getting a spot?

I park in the garage everyday. The daily rate is $4 and so worth it. I paid monthly so its cheaper but $4 is cheap enough.

I always parked in the very back corner of the big lot and hoofed it to the train. As much as I hated this, I felt it was a waist of time to go down every isle looking for a spot to no avail.
If you chose not to go the garage route, I would check the far end closest to the East, however it has been a few years for me now that I think of it

Just so you know a lot of the parking spots are out of commission now due to them doing renovations for the past few months.
So the parking situation is even worse than normal.
Even the really FAR spots are usually taken by 7:30 am...
I'd get there early and wear some comfy shoes!

they finished the renovations about a month ago...all the lots are now open

I was just coming on to ask this question. On the LIRR website, there's a special alert about the parking lot renovation but maybe they don't update the site as often as they should.

Yeah that is why I thought it was still going on.
Doesn't surprise me though that they are behind in updating the website!

Thank you all, I got there around 7:15 and got a really close spot in one of the northeast lots! But let me tell you how annoying the passengers on the train were! Holy crap I give all of you that do it daily so much credit, its a horror!
