Question for those who have a relatively expensive stroller???
Did you register for it of did you buy it yourself??
I want a Peg Perego, but I feel like I'm asking too much to register for it. Should I just buy it myself??
What did you do??

Re: Question for those who have a relatively expensive stroller???
I registered for the Peg Perego and figured if no one bought it, I'd just have to get it myself. A few people can go in on a gift together and buy it for you, so you never know.
As a registry peeker, I was thrilled the day I saw mine come off my registry.

Re: Question for those who have a relatively expensive stroller???
I registered for mine (zippy by inglesina) but I knew my grandmother wanted to buy it for me I figured other than a close family member no one else would buy it - but remember you might have a parent or inlaw who wants to get a nice gift. I looked at it this way it is there if someone wants to buy it they will otherwise I will just buy it for myself. As long as you have things in all price ranges on there for everyone I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Re: Question for those who have a relatively expensive stroller???
We registered for our car seat even tho it was $$ and we didn't expect anyone to get it for us --- it was more of a reminder so we could get it ourselves later.
Well DH's 2 SILs got it for us!! So you never know!!

I would register for it and only buy it if nobody else does.

My inlaws bought us our Bugaboo. I would have bought it myself anyway.

Re: Question for those who have a relatively expensive stroller???
Nope, any expensive items we bought ourselves along with our family. We do not like the idea of putting very expensive things on our registry. Even though our guest would purchase them regardless but DH and I like to keep things moderate for guests.

Re: Question for those who have a relatively expensive stroller???
Why not?...you never know and look at it this way...people will see what you are ordering in general to get an idea of what colors, styles, patterns etc you will like for the baby...so in case they want to get you something off the registry..

Re: Question for those who have a relatively expensive stroller???
my mom bought my bug for me. my dad still has no idea of the price
she felt she needed to do it, 3 years earlier, I found a great deal on ebay, bought one. she was so upset, thought it was bad luck, so I sold it. she knew she owed me

Re: Question for those who have a relatively expensive stroller???
we registered for the Peg Pliko and the Mclaren umbrella (I would have never bought the mclaren if someone didn't get it for us)
We got both....as a PP said, if someone didn't buy us the Pliko, I would have bought it....don't get the sticker shock...

Re: Question for those who have a relatively expensive stroller???
I think we may end up buying it as the stroller I really want isnt carried at the place I will be registered. The Stokke is mostly online and I dont want to have to tell someone oh go to this n that website. I have back ups though like the BUmbleride and if someone gets it I am sure I will get over my Stokke lust.

Re: Question for those who have a relatively expensive stroller???
I registered for the Peg and someone already bought it! I think you should put it on and if no one buys it, then buy it for yourself.

we're getting the bugaboo and plan to just buy it ourselves rather than putting it on the registry.

Re: Question for those who have a relatively expensive stroller???
i registered for the peg perego uno and the maclaren quest. my shower isnt until 6/3, but both of those were purchased already...one by the baby's godmother and the other by my best friend.
even if you think no 'one' person will want to buy it, somebody might buy it as a joint present with someone else.

What did you do??
I registered for it - everyone in my office chipped in and bought it for me for my shower...

we registered for it and a bunch of people chipped in for it. it was a great surprise, because we really needed it and would have bought it ourselves!
