Question for those who return Christmas gifts
I was given some items that I would like to return. However, I was not given gift receipts for these items. Am I now stuck with these gifts or do I check to see if any store carries the items and return them to that store for a credit?
I was also given some books. I believe that if they came from Borders or Barnes and Noble there would be a separate sticker with its own bar code on it. Since these books do not have separate stickers, I'm thinking I would look foolish trying to return books to these stores.

Re: Question for those who return Christmas gifts
If you return w/o a receipt at most places you get the lowest selling price as a credit...BUT because most things are on sale now that amount will still go pretty far!! As for the books, I say you give it a try, it never hurts right? Just say you got them as a gift and you think they said they got them here...OR try target for them too!

Re: Question for those who return Christmas gifts
Borders puts stickers on their books. To the best of my knowledge B&N does not. Hey, give it a try!

Re: Question for those who return Christmas gifts
Borders and B&N are usually pretty good about returns. I would take them back there even without a receipt.
