question for you

How long were you TTC before your DH had fertility testing done on him?

Re: question for you

Six months...I am old so we went to an RE after six months at my GYN's recommendation and they tested DH right away.

Re: question for you

I had come off BC and for 4 months had irregular periods, so then I had blood work and was diagnosed with PCOS, so they did a SA right away to make sure DH looked good, otherwise we would have gone straight to IUI.

Re: question for you

I had annovulatory cycles for seven years before I met DH. I'm now 35 and when I was 31 (way before I even met DH), my BF told me to get Taking charge of Your Fertility. I always knew what I had wasn't normal and thankfully, pretty much knew I had PCOS from reading that book, way before we were even engaged

As I was 34 when I married and DH 36, we were not waiting. We had been trying for 3 months before the wedding. When I got my period three weeks after the wedding I called the RE. YEs, I LIED about it being 1 year, 6 months or whatever, but I clearly knew I had a problem for years that was not going away on its own and I was also not getting any younger. I was married last July and had an RE appt. for the first week in September.

Glad I didn't wait because I'm still here 10 months later. Had I waited it would be a year older and ten months laterChat Icon

It's easier to test them so they did a SA on him right away.
