Yes same person.. Hannah is her name she goes by as a singer in her tv show and miley is her name.. but her real name was Destiny. She decided she hated it and wanted a name no one had. So her parents let her change her name to Miley.

As a mom of 5 girls I can tell you without a doubt that Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus are the same person...incidently Miley Cyrus's real name was Destiny Hope Cyrus up until recently when she had it legally changed to Miley. Miley was actually her nickname they used to call her Smiley Miley.
