Question on back pain
I just read a post on breaking your tailbone during pushing. I never thought about but there is a possiblility I may have done this .
It's been 11 days since Logan's been born. In the hospital I could barely get out of bed and then getting back in bed (or sitting) was even worse. I told my Dr and she said I was just sore from childbirth it would go away.
Well, 11 days later and I'm still in soooooooo much pain. It kills me to sit until a find a good position (usually to the side), getting up kills just as much and bending is terrible pain. Walking and standing aren't AS painful but I still feel it a lot....this is why I didn't think anything could be broken, I figured I woulnd't be able to walk at all. I've been using the heating pad but it's not working.
I figured I would wait a little longer before I called the Dr but now I'm thinking I should call My question is......could I just be bruised or is 11 days too long to be bruised for??? I don't want to seem crazy calling the office if this is very common.
Thanks

Re: Question on back pain
Beth I would call just to make sure...besides I would think the real pain would be in other areas than the tail bone.....11 days later it should have eased up alittle.....but hey what do I know....I'll never give birth!

Re: Question on back pain
Are you doing your squats??????
I know, I think it's a long time too (and the back pain is much worse than any of the other pain I had....which is all going away). I'll have to call in the morning.

Re: Question on back pain
Hold onto something, like the back of a chair or a table and squat bending at the knees (don't go all the way down if you can't)

Re: Question on back pain
I'm the one w/ the broken tailbone...does it hurt to sit up your spine or just in your butt? For me, when I broke it (both times) the pain didn't radiate through my back, just strictly in my butt. Back pain throughout your back may be from the epi?

Nope, just in my butt. It is right around the top of my crack (sorry, TMI). It doesn't radiate through my back at all. Just in that exact spot. It even hurt the other day when I put on a pair of jeans that put pressure on that area
Oh no, I can't imagine having this pain for months
