My parents are democrats - my mom worked for Bobby Kennedy and my dad worked for Martin Luther King Jr. I'm a democrat as well.
that's such a cool family history!!! I'm envious!
My father's family is very republican/conservative. (my cousin who is 4 years older than me told me at the tender age of 21 'When you grow-up and become a real adult, you will be a republican, mark my words'  )
so I'm still waiting... 36 and a democrat
That COULD be due to my mother's family, which is much more liberally aligned (in germany).
(I will say though, I'm rather  about how both political parties are owned by lobbyists and they merely attempt to placate the electorate they 'represent' once every 4 years, rather than being loyal to 'we the people'. so I don't like saying I belong to a party... nevertheless, my ideals align more closely the democrats than the republicans)
