Question re:Britax B Ready in Doubles mode (or any dbl stroller)?
Hi!
Expecting Baby #2 in a few weeks; currently using the B ready in singles mode for my son. Trying to figure out what is the best option when adding baby #2? Buy the car seat adapter and have baby ride at the bottom; and keep DS in the larger seat up front?
OR have new baby in the car seat at the top; and just buy a 2nd seat at the bottom for DS?
Ideally I'd like to avoid unnecessary purchases. If I got just the car seat adapter now; eventually I'll need the 2nd seat...so part of me is leaning towards just getting the 2nd seat from the get go and putting baby at the top and DS at the bottom. BUT I don't know how DS will feel about riding at the bottom right now? He's used to looking out and seeing everything.
Anyone have any suggestions or can share what they did? Even if it's a different stroller but still same tandem set up. Did toddler stay in the front; or move to the back?
Thanks so much!!

No experience with that stroller but I wanted to suggest checking out kohls. I got a great deal on the britax bagile double by combining a sale, ebates, a 30% off code, and then getting kohl's cash which I used to get the carseat adaptor. I don't usually do well at kohls but since they don't restrict britax from coupons it worked out well!

I have this stroller. We got it to use as a double. We did buy the car seat adapter at first. Older was on top and infant on the bottom. Then when we outgrew the infant seat we got the jump seat. Older dd on bottom and baby on top and still at 4 she goes on the bottom b/c it's easier.
If your infant seat goes top, just get the seat for the bottom. Your son will love it and still be able to see out.

Thanks!!! yes I have a Britax car seat that clicks right into the b ready frame. Buy Buy Baby actually has the 2nd seat $30 off and then I can use the coupon so I'm going back this weekend with DS to try it out and see how he likes riding at the bottom. I see the bottom seat can accommodate an infant so if we're going to the zoo or some place that requires a lot of walking and looking I can always put baby#2 down in the 2nd seat and let DS sit at the top.

my ds was almost 3 when his brother was born- we bought the extra seat and then put the baby in the infant seat on the top- worked great for both of them

Great to know!!! I'm probably over thinking what he would like vs. not like. I'm sure he'll be find at the bottom and to be honest; most places we've gone as of late he's just walked and or DH has carried him EVEN with me pushing the empty stroller. So I'm thinking the seat won't get used that much. We drive everywhere as it is.

Re: Question re:Britax B Ready in Doubles mode (or any dbl stroller)?
I agree with some of the other posters. My older daughter was 2.5 when my younger was born (now3.5) and she actually loves sitting in the lower seat because she can climb in and out herself. She likes it so much better than when we used to put her in a single stroller. I wouldn't waste money on the adaptor. It's really pricey and I think I recall reading if the baby is in the bottom and the older Child gets out its out of balance which if your older child is anything like mine wouldn't be ideal.
