question regarding due date
My due date is june 22 according to my period and this is what the dr has been going by the whole time, however my first ultrasound at 8 wks the screen showed june 17th- they sad that they still kept my due date as June 22- no matter what the sono said. Everytime there after the sono said diff due dates all between june 13th and 18th no later that that though, so my question is do you think my due date is actually earlier that June 22? (can you tell I really want to have this baby!)

Re: question regarding due date
Yup, I'm having the same problem! They never really could give me a definite due date because I didn't have a period before I got pregnant because I conceived right after a miscarriage. First ultrasound put me at a due date of September 23, but the second and third ultrasound put me at a due date of September 17th-ish. But, my doctors are sticking with the first ultrasound (Sept. 23rd), although I have a gut instinct that I'm going to go earlier than that!

Re: question regarding due date
My period put me at Sept 3. My second and third u/s put me at about Aug 29 (our anniversary :)but they left it at September 3.
The doctor said they normally don't change a due date unless the difference is at least 2 weeks. She said it could have been the positioning of the baby at the time of u/s.

Re: question regarding due date
They get the due date by your last period - like my last one was January 17 - they add 7 days and go back three months. October 24.

Re: question regarding due date
Due dates are always an estimate so don't drive yourself too crazy. Just make sure you have your hospital bag packed 3 weeks beforehand!!!!

Re: question regarding due date
My due date was Feb 21 and the sonos always said the 19th. But dr's kept date at the 21st. I had the baby Bed 1st - so go figure - hehe!

Re: question regarding due date
I couldnt give them a date of my last period, so my due date was based stirctly on my first ultrasound....
I havent had another since I was 8 weeks... so Im anxious to see if Im the baby is still "measuring in" on the same date...

Re: question regarding due date
They could never go my my last period because I hadn't had one in 8 months, so I had no choice but to go by the sono measurements. When Andrew arrived 3 weeks early and already at 9 lbs. 7 oz. I often wonder how accurate the sono's can be??

Re: question regarding due date
Same here! Going by my last period my due date was July 5th. However after my first ultrasound, they changed my due date to 6/27. I've been telling everyone the edd is still 7/5 but I count my weeks according to earlier date.
ETA: Now that I know my Dr won't let me go past my due date (he says he very aggressive about induction which I was happy to hear) I go by the June date.
