Questions about giving vitamins
So I went to the PED yesterday and he did not mention vitamins and of course I forgot to ask. I am going to give the PED office a call today. Though before I call I want to do some research on vitamins, and I am curious to hear what parents on here are doing and feel about vitamins. So I was wondering the following:
If you give your DC vitamins at what age did you start?
If you do not give your DC vitamins what made you decide this?

I started giving DS liquid vitamin when he turned 1 years old.

Pediatrician prescribed vitamins for DD when she was 9 months old.

My ped prescribed the liquid vitamin at 6 months. Ryan is EBF.

Ped told us what otc to buy at his first visit. We just got a prescription at DS's 6 month appointment. So, he's been on them since the very beginning.

I think we started with the liquid ones around 8 months.

Started Tri-Vi-Sol at about 5 mos (DS was EBF). Started poly vi sol at about 10 mos i think...also i alternate with a flouride vitamin...

We started prescription liquid vitamins around 6 months, but did not last very long because DS was constantly choking when he took them.
DS was diagnosed as slightly anemic after he had his 12 month blood work so the ped prescribed the multi vitamin with extra iron. He's been taking them for about a momth now and he takes them much better!.. no more choking!

We give a liquid vitamin - I know the AAP just upped the recommended dose of Vitamin D saying many kids weren't getting enough.

My ped prescribed the liquid vitamin at his 6 month visit. I just started it yesterday..Mathias is 10 days away from being 7 months.
