Questions about naming your child

Did anyone have a name all picked out and then when they delivered they changed it?
We had agreed on a name from the beginning. My DH loved one name imparticaluar that I liked but I knew his cousin (who we never see by the way) was naming her daughter that and I didnt want her to think we stole it. Well now the more and more I think about I am coming around to the name and both my MIL and mother thought I was crazy about not considering the name because of the cousin.
Now when I say we don't see this cousin, I think I will see her 3 times between Sept/oct. of 2007 and July of 2008. We don't invite her to any of our functions.

I did not with my DS, but my mom changed my name in the delivery room I was supposed to be a "Heather" and when she saw me and I had black hair & black eyes, she thought I looked nothing like a Heather....
