Questions about shots and fussiness (help)
So Ds went on thursday for his 4 month check up and got his shots. He seemed totally fine thursday and my MIL said he was fine friday. Well Yesterday and today he has been super fussy. More so then ever. So i am wondering, ifs it from shots, maybe teething , ear infection. I have no clue. I guess i am just looking for some input.

You and I are in the same boat. I'm going to call the ped tomorrow and take her in if she has another bad night.

Re: Questions about shots and fussiness (help)
Since he had the shots on Thursday I am going to say it's not the shot. My ds would react for 2 days after his shots and it was always right away if he had a reaction. My guess is he caught something at the doctor. I would keep an eye on him. When ds had an ear infection he was only upset when we would lay him down. Teething he would cry and hook his finger in the corner of his mouth. I hope he feels better soon

Re: Questions about shots and fussiness (help)
Our ped had told us with the regular shots (not the live virus ones - MMR, Chicken pox etc.) any reaction would likely start within 24 hours of the shot. That was always the case for us. It did sometimes last for more than 24 hours but, it always started during that time period. So, if this persists I would probably take DC into the ped to make sure nothing more serious was going on. Re: Questions about shots and fussiness (help)
It could be. My ped said it sometimes takes 72 hours to have a reaction. My DS will get fussy day 2 after shots and continue for another day, day and 1/2.

Re: Questions about shots and fussiness (help)
When my DD gets uncharacteristically fussy, I try to figure out why, but honestly, 85% of the time I have no idea. Shots, teething, stomach pains, growing pains, overtiredness.....it could be anything. If you are concerned, you can take DS to the doctor, just to give yourself some peace of mind.
