Questions about the 3 hour Glucose Test
I am taking my 3 hour Glucose test on Saturday. I have to fast beforehand just like the 1 hour, right? Also- can I drink water during the test?

I only had to fast before the 3 hour, not the one hour, but double check with your doctor.
No, you can't drink water or leave. Bring a good book and an ipod.

I had to fast 12 hours before the 3 hour (nothing before the 1 hour) I was allowed only water during the 12 hours before, but no water during the test

I was told to fast from midnight on by my ob.
I never drank water during the test but the last time I took it the lab told me I could (I had GD with first pregnancy so took it then and took test again this time). I just took a quick sip during the third hour this last time because I had a huge coughing fit and thought i may puke if I didn't (and if you puke you have to start all over on another day!)

I took them both at Quest. I had to fast before both tests and could only drink water up until I drank the glucose drink. Once I drank that I could have no more water or walk around/leave!

You have to fast before the 3 hr. They told me I couldn't have water but I took a few sips in between & I waited in my car or walked outside for a little bit also.
