Questions about TTC after Miscarraige

I had a miscarraige and a D&E last Thursday.
They told me to wait 3 weeks before BD again, and of course I can't conceive until after I get a period.

For those of you who had a mc and/or a D&E, how long afterwards did you actually start "trying" again?

I miscarried at 11 weeks in August. My D&C was the following day. My Doctor said I could start trying after my 1st period. It will be 4 weeks tomorrow, so hopefully I get it soon. I know it can take up to 8 weeks. I plan on trying as soon as I can. I'm in limbo right now.

I know exactly how you feel though.

I am so sorry you are going through this.

I had a natural miscarriage in July. The doctor said to give it one cycle to build up the lining of my uterus. We didn't listen, tried right away and weren't sucessful that month.

The next month we tried again, and BFP. I know it feels like you are wasting time, and you just want to be pregnant again.....but time will pass and you will get pregnant again!

I'm sorry,it's so difficult,I know! After my loss in April, I had to wait 3 weeks to have sex again...and then it took me 3 months to get my period...so we started IUI's again....

when i had a natural mc last year I just had to wait for my next cycle, when I had the d&C in the hospital they said to wait 2 extra cycles so that it could get back to the state it was in prior

i was told to start trying again after my first cycle..
i switched doctors after the miscarriage.. and he told me no way.. start after 3 months... i didnt listen anyway, but still am trying now.. so it just depends on how you feel... every doctor has a different opinion.. just start trying when you know you are mentally ready!

I'm so, so sorry for your loss

My OB told me no BDing for 2-3 weeks after my d&c (we waited about 3 1/2 though, just because I wasn't ready) & he recommended that we wait 3 cycles before trying again so that I could heal emotionally/deal with my loss. He then added that we could actually start trying again after 1 full cycle had completed if we wanted to as I'd be physically ready. We opted to wait the 1 cycle & took an easygoing "let's see" approach for the next 2 cycles after that. Now 3 months later we're ready to be gung-ho about it again...

I'm so sorry for your loss. I miscarried naturally in march. AF showed up about 5 weeks later, and we started again that cycle.

I MC back in NOvember. My practitioner recomended I wait at least 3 cycles to let my uterus heal and goet back to normal. I actually waited longer because I had a hard time dealing with teh MC and I didn't want to get pregnant and be fearful all the time and I wanted to enjoy the pregnancy, so we ended up waiting about 6 months and got pregnant the first month trying..........

I had a natural miscarriage january 23, another BFP 2/17, Baby due 10/31!!!

I never got my period after the miscarriage.

I had a d&C in June and the dr reccomended that I wait 2 cycle, which we wound up doing not by choice my DH was away.

I was told to wait 3 months/cycles. That was last march, and I still haven't conceived.
