Questions for parents of big babies (10+ lbs and/or over 22inches at birth)
How much did your baby grow between 2 months and 6 months? And between 6 months and a year? (If your baby isn't that old yet, please just let me know how much in as many months.)
How long did it take for your child to not be so overwhelmingly big, according to growth charts? Our baby is still off the charts in height, weight and head circumference at his 2 month appt. Will people ever stop making comments of how big he is?
Are there any brands of clothes that you would recommend? It appears to be tough to find onesies over 12 months. Does this mean he's done with onesies in the next month?!?!?!
TIA!!!!

Nate was 10lbs 3oz and by 6 months he was 22lbs. By the time he started walking he really slimmed down. At 12 months he was 26lbs and now at 28 months he's about 30lbs. He's pretty tall and very slender.
I always found that Children's Place and Ookie Dokie from JCPenney ran big. Old Navy, Disney brand, and some carters stuff ran small or true to size. Carters stores have onsies up to 24M and I saw some at Sears for 18M.
I know how you feel about the comments... Just hang in there.

As said, Carters has packs of onesies up to 24 months. Childrens Place sells them individually through 4T.
Once my daughter got mobile she started to thin out in appearance a lot.

I'm not sure about the size thing, but don't let people bother you
As for onesies, I could only find white ones in 18 months at Target last week and when I was in Kohl's carters had a TON of cure boys clothes for that age

People will make comments unfortunately-I stare at them like they have two heads (mine is the opposite-she is small for age) As for bigger clothes definitely Carters-their sizing is bigger.

Jack was born at 9lbs 14ozs - and 23 inches long. At his three month appt. he was 18.2. I think when we go back in two weeks he will def. have hit the 20lb mark.
I'm not having a problem yet with him fitting into clothes - and I am assuming that the weight gain will slow down once he becomes more mobile.
I have seen a ton of bigger sizes at BRU though.
People say all the time that Jack looks like he is 8mnths instead of three.

Re: Questions for parents of big babies (10+ lbs and/or over 22inches at birth)
My son was nearly 10 lbs at birth and 22" long, and he was born 3 weeks early. Since he is 3.5 now, I can't even remember what his weights were, although I could look them up! I believe he was 19 lbs 8 oz at 6 months. By 1 year old, he started to thin out, which I found odd because he was a big table food eater.

Re: Questions for parents of big babies (10+ lbs and/or over 22inches at birth)
I've gotten some of the plain onesies through 24 months, but it seems like the ones with cute sayings end after a year.
I'm not too concerned about him thinning out because he is big in weight and height, so he's proportionate. I guess I'm just wondering if he'll ever actually look his age.
thanks for answering!

Re: Questions for parents of big babies (10+ lbs and/or over 22inches at birth)
My DS was born at 8.9 and 23 inches.
This past monday at his 14 week check up he weighed in at 17.9 and 26 3/4 inches.
I have him in 6 month Carter PJs and the outfits I started putting him in the 9 month Carters for his upper body, the pants are still tooo long. I hate when the shirt is not up close to his neck (which the 6 month ones are starting to do)
