questions regarding DR Brown's Pitcher and general formula prep.
I'm thinking of buying this pitcher but want to know if it's easy to wash by hand or use a dish washer?
Do you just make the entire pitcher & then pour into a bottle when needed & then warm the bottle up for baby to eat?
One more question.. if your DC doesn't finish the entire bottle do you put it back in the fridge & then give them the rest cold or do you rewarm the bottle first or do you just leave the bottle out & give it to them at room temp? (assuming it's within an hour)

I used it for a while. Very easy to wash in dishwasher or by hand.
I would mix it all and then pour all bottles and refrig the bottles.
If your DC doesn't finish a bottle within an hour, the rest should go in the garbage. Within that hour, I would not refrig or reheat again. You should not reheat more than once for sure.

I hated it!! I don't know what I was doing wrong but it always overflowed and foamed up. It would spill everywhere. I used it maybe twice and put it away. I hated cleaning all the parts too. Just like the bottles

I own it and use it. I find it very easy to use and clean. As far as bottles go, I personally leave it in the pitcher and fill bottles as needed since DS is on Similac Sensitive RS and the formula gets very frothy when mixed.

Re: questions regarding DR Brown's Pitcher and general formula prep.
I had a love/hate relationship with the pitcher.
Love: The convience of having formula ready when I need it at any time. I would make 24 oz which would last me the entire day. Especially good when DD would wake up in the middle of the night for a bottle and I didn't have to stumble around making it for her.
Hate: When I would mix it, sometimes the mixer blade would come off and I would have to go fish for it.
Though it is easy to clean, its difficult to get the little crevices on the blade clean. The powder formula leaves a residue on the blade & the stick that the blade is attached to. Maybe if you run it through a dishwasher, it might give you a better cleaning.

I use 2 of them...I love them....yes the formula gets foamy and it overflows, you have to just be careful. super easy to wash..I dont ever have the issue of formula sticking to it.

Re: questions regarding DR Brown's Pitcher and general formula prep.
I never used a formula pitcher. When DD was first born, I would make 8oz. bottles and keep in refridg and then pour into smaller bottles- 2oz, 3oz, etc when needed. Now that she's older (5 months) I just make her bottles by pouring the water in (either 4oz or 6 oz) and then when she's ready for the bottle I add the powder. Bottles are room temp and she likes them that way. When she was smaller, she had more patience to warm the bottle since I had to store in the fridge (did this by soaking bottle in warm water for a few mins). Now, when she sees the bottle she wants to eat now (usually lol). For me, this has worked great. HTH!

I LOVE this thing. I never had an issue with frothing or overflowing formula. You just have to keep the mixing blade IN the liquid. And the most I ever do is 28 oz. water/14 scoops of formula, this way it stayed below the bottom of the lid. That amount actually works out to about 32 oz. of formula.
It's easy to clean, and I don't have a dishwasher, so that's really important to me. I highly recommend it - just makes life so much easier.
