Questions to ask obgyn...

Tomorrow dh and I are meeting with my doctor. DH has been on strong medication for his crohnes disease for years and I brought the concearn to my doctor about ttc with dh on meds.

He wanted us to come to the office because he had several questions for us.

I am very nervous having trouble thinking of questions to ask him. (I should have wrote them down)

Are there any questions I should ask him? Anyone ever been in this situation?

Hey hon,
How are you? Here is what I would ask.

What are the effects of the med on TTC? Sperm count, and function of the sperm.

Should he stop the meds?.. I don't know if he would be able to though?

Would he do a semen analysis now and not wait until later just so you know what your are dealing with?

I agree with Tricia...I think that it is best to write down everything that is on your mind now this way you don't forget when you are in there.

I would question if a SA should be done immediately to see if you are dealing with any lower sperm counts due to the medication.

Also, how long will they want you to TTC with no success knowing your DH's meds before consulting a RE.

I don't have much info for you, but I know someone who's husband has Crohns disease and they have three children. Lots of luck to you.
