Questions to ask pediatricians?
Does anyone have a list or a link for questions to ask the pediatricians when you meet them. I completely forgot that I have my first appointment tonight, and haven't written down any questions! Thanks!

This is a good list and you may want to ask about cord blood banking if you're interested in it. I did for the pediatricians and they had some good stories which made us do it.
Also, most Peds will see the baby immediatly so they don't sit in the waiting room with other sick kids. See if your peds will do the same.

What hospitals are you affiliated with?
Which one do you prefer if there is a choice (which one is better with infants? younger children?)
How often will you see my child the 1st year?
What shot schedule do you follow?
Who administers the shots?
Do you give shots if my child has been sick recently or has a cold?
Are you flexible with shots?- if this is important to you
What is the policy when you bring in a sick child? Separate waiting room? Separate visit rooms? If no separate area - do you have any special routine (like see highly contagious children in their cars etc)?
Who will I see if my child is sick? You? Another MD? A NP or PA?
How long will I have to wait to get a sick appt? same day?
Do you have sick day visits only? (some offices have one day a week that is only for sick visits)
What are your office hours?
If I have questions can I call the office?
What happens when I call and I have a sick child - who will return my call (an MD? a nurse?) and how long after do you usually respond (20 mins? 2 hours?)
What is your stance on giving medications? Seeing specialists?
What is your stance on Breastfeeding? Do you work with an LC or have one I can call if I need help?
What is your stance on Formula, which one do you recommend?
What is your stance on circumcision?
