Questions to ask when researching day care
I know there are threads on this, but I can't find them!
I am looking for PT care for my 15 month old DD.
What questions should I ask the center?
I know I need to ask about licensing, teacher to child ratio, what I would need to bring, vacations....
What else?

when the check is due by
sleeping arrangements
what you need to bring in (sippy, sheets, blankets, extra clothes, creams, milk, diapers, wipes)
if someone is licensed to distribute medicines
if the teachers know CPR
do they provide food or do you?
vacation time (do you pay that week? how does it work)
if they have any violations from the state? (you can look this up too)
NY violations link
teacher/kids ratio
when they move up
changing area (make sure they have gloves and a clean changing pad)
check if outlets are covered
if they have a schedule
nap schedule
at what point when a child is sick do they call you
are you allowed to come and visit
cameras in the room?
do they give you a sheet each night that provides you with what the child did in terms of diaper changes, how they were, what they are, etc

You bet! I always say follow your instincts too. If something doesn't seem right then cross that off your list. there was one school I liked, but the infant teacher seemed off. Loved the director and the school policy, but certain things I didn't like. I looked at another few then decided on a different one that I knew I'd love.
