Quick crockpot question...
Can I prepare everything the night before in the crockpot bowl, refrigerate it and then put it right into the machine? Will the condensation or moisture from the fridge that forms on the outside of the bowl mess anything up while it's heating??
I want to try the French Onion pork chops for tomorrow, but I don't have much time to prepare in the morning....

Re: Quick crockpot question...
I've done it with no problems.
Others have asked and a few voiced concerns about putting a cold dish into the pot that will heat up. I don't think it gets THAT hot THAT quick so I don't second guess it.

I do that all the time. I actually did it with the French Onion Pork Chop recipe just a few weeks ago.

Re: Quick crockpot question...
good to know , I never use mine because I don't have time in the morning!
BTW, not to hijack this thread, but has anyone used the plastic bag liners in their crockpot? I bought a box but hesitate using plastic with heat

I have, they are fine and eliminate a LOT of the cleaning mess.
to the OP: I also do it all the time. No issues.

Re: Quick crockpot question...
I never do it because I am scared of the liner breaking. But I mgiht have to rethink that LOL
I ALWAYS use the plastic liners. Cleanup is soeasy.

Re: Quick crockpot question...
I will only use it if I have the liners.....otherwise the clean up can be VERY time consuming.
Nothing have ever gone wrong with my slow cooker recipes and I seem to break all of the rules.
1) I put everything in the night before 2) I ALWAYS use liners 3) I plug it in and go to work for the day, usually for longer than the recommended cooking time and I let it go to "warm"

When ready to serve, serve over cooked egg noodles.
