Quick Gift Question...What would you do?
So I invited a friend to Kerri's christening and she couldn't come but gave a gift anyway. We worked together 5 years and went to college together...we see each other at least once a month and talk on the phone.
So she is christening her baby this weekend and I never got an invite...I figure it is because she has a large crowd with family but she hasn't said that. She just hasn't mentioned it in like two months.
So question....would you get a gift for the baby?

I would get a gift. Maybe she didn't come to yours because she knew she couldn't invite you to hers and felt badly? I'm just making stuff up here, but it's a thought.

No she didn't come because her son was two weeks early and born two days before the christening....she was planning on it though.

i have to be honest, i don't think i would send anything being that i wasn't invited at all. if she had said "oh, its a small family thing" i would, but being that it wasn't even mentioned I wouldnt'.

I usually send a baby gift to close friends whether I am invited to any of their events or not. If I hadn't already given a gift, I would send it now. If I already gave her something for the baby, I probably wouldn't send another gift.

Well I have given her gifts for the baby when he was born....she gave me a check for Kerri's christening but seeing as I wasn't invited I don't know if just giving her a check is the right thing.
