Re: quick help, pls dont move!

In my experience, objectives aren'treally used anymore. I see it mostly on people who have just graduated from college.

Re: quick help, pls dont move!

I agree...no objective necessary. I have about 20 versions of my resume and only one of them has an objective.

Re: quick help, pls dont move!

You can replace it with a "profile" that highlights your transferrable skills.

ETA: Something like "Marketing professional with strong history of business development and relationship building"

Your name, address, email and telephone number. That's it.

nothing nada if they want to know why they can ask you. You answer, "I just did not see myself doing _____. I really want to be in the _______ industry, which I feel I am an asset for....."

Re: quick help, pls dont move!

yeah I would leave the objective off. It is not a requirement anymore & is considered antiquated (from what I have been told by my interviewers anyway).

I'd mention something about that in the cover letter, but not resume.

You should focus on addressing your objective and reason for career change in your cover letter not your resume.

I have always thought an objective limits you.
