Quick help with wording an email plz
I don't usually need help with this kind of stuff but it's a rainy Monday morning and my brain hasn't completely booted up yet.
Background:
Got a new boss (actually boss's boss), he (and his boss) are throwing a luncheon to welcome him and I can't make it (scheduled day off), so I have to send regrets plus some kind of welcome msg...so...
Good Morning XXXX,
Regretfully, I cannot attend the luncheon on [date]. I have a scheduled day off.
[Insert warm welcoming sentence - This is where I am stuck]
Help plz! Thx!!
