Quick ?, how much to tip?
We are having FIOS installed today. He's been here since about 9am, almost done. How much should I tip him?

I thought you were supposed to. He had to spend a good portion of his time in the crawl space, I just feel bad that it was uncomfortable for him.

ALWAYA ALWAYS offer something to drink and eat
my dad was a service man so i always offer this to landscapers, cable guys, exterminators, etc....
they truly appreciate it
and i would tip maybe $10

No tipping necessary, it is his job and that's what he gets paid to do.
Just offer him drinks and food and you're fine.

I agree. If he does a good job, I would also ask if he has a supervisor that you can call to let them know how good he was or a survery or something. You never know. He could be up for a promotion and something like this could be very helpful.

I gave my tech some tips. We were discussing the Cars movie collectible cars, and I gave him some good tips on where to buy them. Both our DSs are really into them.  DS even showed the tech some of his cars. We had a lot that the tech never saw. 
I think I gave him $10 as well. He was so fast, and so good, and a good conversationalist. We chatted for a while about a lot of things. Anyone who makes my DS happy is good in my book. He definitely earned it.
