Quick! My brownie recipe calls for vegetable oil....
but all I have in my house is canola oil and corn oil. can i use either of these instead? i am CRAVING brownies!

I use canola oil all the time in my baking. I wouldl choose that over corn oil.

i never have vegetable oil in my house. so i always use canola and sometimes corn for baking

this might sound weird...but I don't even put the oil in that the recipes call for. Just a snooch extra of water.

Last time I checked, corn was a vegetable! You can use corn oil without a problem. My bottle of Crisco Vegetable oil is actually Soybean oil if you read the label. You just really want to avoid olive oil in baking since it's got a strong flavor

You can also substitute the oil with apple sauce.
It's a lot healthier that way.
