Quick professional cert. question
I am sure it's a no, but just checking - does permanent subbing count towards the experience requirement? Or daily subbing?

i think it can actually. i would call the nassau boces certification office bc they know everything!
do you have only sub experience? bc you still need a year of mentoring for the cert. in that case, you may have to file for an extension.

Thank you so much for your reply. No, I will have about 2.75 years of teaching experience when my initial is up, if i piece together leave replacements, summer school and my current tenure track job.
If subbing counts that could put me at 3 years and I might not have to file for an extension.
