Quick Q....Is It OK to put my 3 year old to sleep with a fever?

He had 103 earlier and I gave him motrin which has brought it down to 102, but it's way past his bedtime....is it okay to put him to bed and check on him through the night?

It's so weird because he is acting normally and does not seem to be sick at all...just a fever.

I would put him down and then piggy back with tylenol. I think you give tylenol 3 hours after motrin ( don't remember the exact time schedule). I would also try and dress him light and give him a light weight blanket that way he doesn't over heat when he sweats it out.

I would put him to sleep and set alarm for 4 hours, then throw dropper in his mouth with next dose.

Thanks girls....he woke at midnight really hot again and I gave him another dose of motrin and that seemed to do the job. Slept with him the rest of the night and the fever broke. He's acting very normal this morning. Thanks for the help!
