Quick Question - what is CPSE?
Since DD is just starting to get services, I'm still trying to learn all the lingo.

To elaborate:
before your child can be approved for any services, a committee sits together to review:
DC's evaluations
DC's Reports from providers
Discuss current services, progress, etc.
the committee typically consists of:
District representative who chairs the meeting - this could be special ed director, asst director, psychologist, or special ed chair
Parents (obviously)
Therapists if they can come - if not they will teleconference or at least send a report
Other representatives from the district: speech therapist, special educator
Parent member (usually they aren't available so you are asked to sign that you are ok not having them there)
County rep
Once the results are reviewed, the committee then discusses the needs and services, and then has to sign to agree to the services.

It is also when your child transitions out of EI at the age of 3.
