quick question
sorry i was going to post of food and recipe but figured i get more responses here...im making chicken tonight i took it out hours ago and its still frozen solid...i dont feel like going to the store to get fresh chicken can i put it in the microwave to defrost?? I need it in about an hour

Whole chicken? or chicken breasts?
For chicken breasts I usually put them into a ziploc and then into a container of warm water (like how you'd thaw shrimp!)

Works every time.
I do that to just about all meat that I defrost. I never use the microwave to defrost - it always cooks it a little.

Use cold water as it works best if you're going to defrost in a ziploc! My uncle is head chef at a restaurant
