quick question/not looking to debate here, just want to pick your brains.

this somehow came up in the office today.

Would you be bothered if someone called you and said they were headed over to your house to search around your yard for their pet?

They don't live in the same neighborhood as you, but they think their pet may have known to come to this familiar place.

They don't ask if it's convenient for you, or if you have company over, or would you mind... they simply announce it and say they are on their way over.

I don't see it as a big deal, for the record.

I said it would bug me a little. But most things in life bug me at least a little...I get easily irritated. Chat Icon

yeah, i don't see it as a big deal, but it would irk me a bit..only because it was announced, not asked.. then again, i know pets are very important, too.. and i know they are like kids to some people..and if my kid was missing, i wouldn't ask...i'd announce, KWIM?

No, it wouldn't bother me. As a pet owner, I would probably ask them if they wanted me to start the search while they're on their way over!

I wouldn't mind. But I would hope they didn't expect me to drop everything to help.

ETA: Just to clarify, I would help if I wasn't in the middle of anything and both kids were napping.

It wouldn't bother me at all. Whatever is going to find their pet, is fine by me.

I've already had a neighbor tell me that she's poked around my backyard when I wasn't home, looking for a cat. She's done it more than once. Hey, just don't trample my flowers and I don't care. It's not like she's coming inside the house without permission.

Wouldn't bother me. I'd probably offer to help if I was home!
