Quick question re. AFP...

I had my blood drawn last Thursday! Shouldn't I have heard something back yet about the results???

They don't always call (which is good in a way!). If there was a problem they would have called.

I know I panicked too at the beginning. We did not have the amnio results, then the level II.... in the end, the tech told me not to panic if we did not hear anything. It's usually a good sign!

Maybe you can call just for peace of mind before the weekend.

My Dr has a no news is good news policy. I didn't hear back about my AFP either....and when I went in for the next appt, they went over it. It was all fine and so they just dont call you. If you need to re-take or something is wrong, they will let you know.

I had mine done on 3/8 and I haven't heard anything. Usually no news is good news.

I never heard anything about the AFP, then at my next appointment I said "I went for the AFP..." she cut me off and said "everything was fine"

Thanks.. we have the level II on 4/16 and my next Dr. appt. on 4/19. I feel like that's so far away to sit and wait to hear somehting. I know he would have called if something was wrong, just nervouse!! Maybe I'll call just to ease my mind!
