Quick science experiment needed
My 5th graders are going to be involved in a science fair this year. I wanted to model an experiment, and show them how to make their display and such.
Any suggestions on something thats really quick? Thanks

Re: Quick science experiment needed
Do you want to show them how to conduct an actual experiment and set it up?
An easy one is: Problem: How does exercise affect pulse rate? Hypothesis: "If you exercise, then your pulse rate will increase because you need more oxygen to get to your muscles" or "I think your pulse rate will increase because you need more oxygen to get to your muscles"
You can then have them set up the experiment as a class and even do it.
Another easy one is: Problem: How does salt water affect kidney bean growth?" Hypothesis: "If you add salt water, then the kidney beans will not grow as well because..."
If you want other ideas let me know. I teach HS science.
