Quick! What is the term for a mistress from back in the day used by Italians?
We thought it was concubine or consort but that's not it!! Nice what we talk about while at work isn't it? LOL
Does anyone know??It begins with the letter C
Not concubine or consort.. this is driving me crazy..

Whether pronounced “goomah,” “goomar” or “goomatta,” the word is the Americanized corruption of the Italian word comare, which means “mistress” or “girlfriend.”
My family says "goomata" I googled it for the correct word -

Yep and this is how we say it too. I don't know what the word actually means, but we also use it for godmother, bosom buddy, and third cousin twice removed.
