Quickly trying to decide on Flu Shot
I am leaving for the doctor in a half hour for Andrew's 15 mo doctor visit and I know I am delaying the MMR til after the holidays (just in case) but I was going to get him the flu shot. My MIL said do not give it to him if he has any signs of being sick and he does have a teeny cold left in him so I am confused... 
Any advice?

We had an appointment for the booster when he got sick (had a fever the night before), so I just took him in for a sick visit and rescheduled the shot. He had a little bit of a cold when he got the shot, but nothing too bad and they gave it to him.

Todd Jr had a little cold when he got the flu shot and nothing happened, I would get it for him!

Well, no advice but I can tell you why I decided NOT to give it to DS (this winter and last winter). He is not in daycare. I never had the flu shot and never had the flu. I don't feel he needs the unnecessary shot if there is still a chance he can get the flu.

dk if you left yet but I would wait.
I thought Max had the flu and the doc said its not going around yet like people think-there is a different virus. Why bring his immune system down b4 the holidays?

I was at the Dr. yesterday, I decided against it.
I am almost 34 and had the flu once in 34 yrs. I just dont see the point. Although I did give him the polio vaccine and wonder about that...but back to the point...
If he were in daycare I might reconsider, but b/c he is at home and just getting over a bad 3 week cold, I didnt want to risk it.
