Quote for painting

If you have had your home recently painted, would you mind telling me what you paid

I am trying to determine what a responable quote is for painting the interior of an approx. 1,500 sq foot home (3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen and garage)

TIA

Re: Quote for painting

We paid 5-something for our home. I guess around 2K square feet... 4 BR, 1.5 bath, kitchen, LR, DR. Cathedral ceilings in a bed and bath.

We got quotes ranging from 5K to 22K!

Ultimately we ended up using Precision Painting Plus. They did a PHENOMENAL job. My FIL cut their ad out of the Pennysaver for is. They really were great, I can't stop recommending them!!!

Re: Quote for painting

I just checked with DH. He's a painter. I asked him for his St. Louis price (the price he would charge if we were still living in st. louis) since I know you are in NC. Chat Icon

He said about $3500 - $4500 depending on the shape of the house, is it empty, is it strictly painting or do you need to fix holes or spackeling.

yeah, my dh paints as well, I just wanted to see if his estimate was reasonable. The house is empty and I think there is minimal spackeling that has to be done
