Rain? Dumb Question!!
Ok, I'm sure it's dumb question. But I haven't had to take DD out in the rain yet. What do you do when it rains? She's still in the infant carrier. Do you try to juggle the carrier and an umbrella? Or try to throw a blanket over the carrier? I mean, running from the house to the car is one thing, but what if you've got to get to your car in a parking lot, etc...that's further away?

Re: Rain? Dumb Question!!
I usually have a hood on me and a blanket over DS in the infant carrier. I rarely go out in the rain, but, if I have to that is what I do. I sometimes don't bother with an umbrella.

Re: Rain? Dumb Question!!
I bought a stroller rain cover (it has vents) at BRU. I leave in the trunk in case I need it. I did not try it yet though.
I don't plan to walk in the rain with DS but it would be handy if we get caught in the rain and we did not expect it.

Re: Rain? Dumb Question!!
I have to have DD out in the rain later today. I plan on putting her in the stroller from the car to the front door with the covering over it

Re: Rain? Dumb Question!!
When DD was in her infant seat, I would just throw a blanket over it. I would try not to go out in the rain, but sometimes you can't help it. If I was parked far away I would use my carriage and put the canopy on the carriage and carrier up and just throw the blanket on top. (I hope that made sense) I never use an umbrella

Re: Rain? Dumb Question!!
Our infant carrier has a canopy that we used to cover DC's head. We put a blanket on their body and legs.

Re: Rain? Dumb Question!!
Thanks for the replies
I guess I'll try the blanket when necessary, with the canopy up on the infant carrier, and try to walk briskly! I don't mind a little rain, I just wonder about really heavy rain, soaking not only DD but the padding in the carrier, etc.

Re: Rain? Dumb Question!!
We are very experienced with this...EVERY time DS has to go to the doc for his monthly check up it rains
In the beginning I would take him in his carrier. I had a jacket with a hood and I got one of those clear rain covers to put over the infant carrier. I tried using an umbrella but I ended up drenched.
He's still in the carrier but he's soooo heavy so I usually put him in the baby bjorn - hold him close and now use an umbrella.
