Ralph Lauren Baby Clothes
I have finally had it with the Ralph Lauren clothes. I sent them an email asking if any of their designers have or had children. DH had a gift card to the outlet at Tanger and he bought Taylor a cute little velour one piece outfit. Typical RL clothes...all the snaps are on the back. Taylor is a typical baby, she doesn't cooperate when being changed. DH was changing her diaper and when he came out of her bedroom, he told me to throw out the outfit because he made a mistake by buying it...I felt bad, he was so frustrated. I just got an email that they are forwarding my comments to the correct department....I doubt I will get a response though

The only problem that I have had with them is that they run very small for DS.

Re: Ralph Lauren Baby Clothes
Before actually having DD, I bought lots of cute things, not thinking of how they fastened. Now I look at EVERYTHING before I buy it and make sure it is user friendly.
It's not just Ralph Lauren. I received cute things when DD was born and they were impossible to get on. I got a cute seersucker outfit from Target that had buttons instead of snaps and it was so hard to put on.

I agree, I never buy RL outfits as baby gifts anymore, they are a nightmare.

Re: Ralph Lauren Baby Clothes
Yeah, they do run small. Like Carters, if they are marked 9 months, that really means 6 months maxing out at 9 months... same with Carters.
My BF gave me this info. Her DD is 4 years old and in her first year Carters and some other companies changed their sizing. DS is wearing old hand me down pj's from Carter's so they are size 12 months, but the new ones he's in size 18 months. It was the same for Ralph Lauren.
I agree, snaps up the back on infant clothes are a PITA. Any outfits like that, I took one look at them and returned them or gave them to Goodwill.

Re: Ralph Lauren Baby Clothes
I find snaps in the back very handy when they are crawling or running away from you, and you are chasing after them trying to button/snap whatever you can reach!

I agree with RL running small but I have never had a problem with Carters...They seem to true to size or big, especially their onesies.

They run SO small, that is my complaint about them. But at least I know that and I buy bigger now.

Re: Ralph Lauren Baby Clothes
The snaps on the back don't bother me as much as the fact that they run so small! Waste of $$$$ IMO.

Re: Ralph Lauren Baby Clothes
Their customer service is actually really good. I had 2 pairs of jeans from Cole that I wanted to save for Brady but the snaps started "popping" open really easily. i emailed them and said, look I know this stuff is 2 years old but I bought RL so that I could keep it for my next child, etc. They dont make those jeans anymore, but they sent me about $75 worth of stuff in exchange for the 2 pair I complained about. (And I never had to sen them the 2 pair - they took my word for it.) It did take about 4 emails back and forth, but it was worth it. Hope they do the same for you.

.
I think Carter's runs BIG! DS is almost 10 months old and still fits in his Carter's 6 months clothes and is just getting into the 9 month ones.
But ITA with the baby RL stuff, the snaps up the back are just stupid. I don't think their designers are thinking about pracitcality.
The pjs we have are 9 month and DS still wears them, and I flip him onto his belly and he thinks it is a game now, but I couldn't imagine with a tiny baby

Re: Ralph Lauren Baby Clothes
I can't stand how small RL's clothing is - it's REALLY really small compared to other brand's sizing. I gave up a while ago on them :(

Re: Ralph Lauren Baby Clothes
Never had an issue with their clothing. I have a ton of RL baby girl and Toddler clothing and never once have had an issue with stlye, design or fabric. Maybe it was a fluke?
