Ralph Lauren Suede Paint
Has anyone used this paint, I was wondering how it works and if you liked the reults. Also do you know if you have to put the Ralph Lauren as the base coat also, or do you just need the Ralph Lauren as the top coat?

Re: Ralph Lauren Suede Paint
We used this in my old bedroom - we had a chairrailing around the middle of the walls - on the bottom we used that finish and just a basic lighter color of green on top. Personally, I think the finish was amazing and the "texture" was very different.

Thank you, I am thinking of using it in my Bathroom first to see how it comes out.

Re: Ralph Lauren Suede Paint
I am hoping to do it next weekend, I watched the step by step video on Ralph Lauren's website and it says base coat and then top coat, but I was just trying to figure out how you choose the base coat. It also says to paint one section at a time, but I think I am going to paint the whole room in the base coat and then do the top coat section by section.

Re: Ralph Lauren Suede Paint
I did!! We painted my bedroom RL Suede Fawns Leap. I love the texture and we get lots of compliments on that and the color.
It is very simple to do. I don't remember if we used RL base coat or not - but the walls were definitely primed. You put the first coat on and then X away. Beware - when we put on the first coat - it looked horrible - we got very scared and almost turned around. It was orange and streaky (we picked a soft mocha color). For the second coat - I got a tip from a friend online - she said paint on the second coat and X off rather than X on - does that make sense? DH would paint a section of the wall with the roller brush and I would follow behind with the regular paint brush and X away what he painted while it was still wet. It is much simpler that way and faster from what I hear and still looks good.
Here is a picture of my room after we painted.. And in different lighting - dont mind folding chair and fan - this was like right after we got our bedroom set put in place and was still getting the room together - we weren't even sleeeping in here yet.

Your room looks amazing. I was wondering does the base coat have to be exact to the color of the suede or are you suppose to pick a different color? What makes up the majority of the color the base coat or the suede paint?
