ran my 1st 5k today
I started to run last June then fractured my heel in Oct had to take 3mos off to heal and in Feb starting running again. So I did my 1st 5k today and finished in 27min50sec  I was so happy with myselft my goal was to get 28mins and I did a little less. Just wanted to share  Also doing another one next Sat but bringing the double jogger with the kdis so my time will prob. be slower however I have to say I loved the feeling of the race and the people where so nice there. My 11yr old also ran with me however he started out very far ahead of me then couldn't find him after the race to learn that he stopped because he had fallen and was banged up pretty bad. Once I heard that another runner there quickly took off to fine him which I thought was extremely nice, then I followed but I wasn't going as quick as he was. But he found my son and stayed with him until I got there (just a few mins behind  ) Well his leg was bleeding and his poor little face looked like it was dragged against the street. But he finished the race walking so I am so proud of him and he's not giving up he's planning on doing the mothers day race I'll also be signing up for with me. Thanks for letting me share.

I'm sorry to hear about your son  But it is so nice that people helped you guys out AND that he finised anyway AND that he is not giving up. You should be very proud of yourself, mama

Thanks everyone, it deff can turn into an addiction  Already looking for the next wk. My son feels so much better and got to show off his bumps n bruises today a school. He's deff a champ in my eyes.
