Random Concerned Citizens Now Requesting Lindsay Get Her Sh-t Together
The latest issue of In Style magazine features Lindsay Lohan on the cover, and a revealing interview filled with celebrity endorsements from Jane Fonda and Bobby director Emilio Estevez. Estevez tells In Style (which is on newsstands now), “Our culture mistakes celebrity for talent. But she has proven with the Bobby role that she is much more than just a celebrity. She’s a damn good actress – courageous and brave. It’s all about what she wants people to remember her for. Once she shifts gears, the public will follow.” (Sage advice so long as Lindsay doesn’t set her gearshift to Mighty Ducks 4.) In excerpts from the interview below, Lohan talks about being a public figure and enjoying a good redwood now and again. On the pitfalls of fame: “It’s funny how people feel they know you. The other day this guy I’d never met was like: ‘Make sure you keep your sh-t together.’ I was like, Excuse me? You know nothing about me! I was flabbergasted.” On being responsible: “I learned to have a lot of responsibilities at a very young age, whether in my personal life at home with my family or simply having to be on set. I work longer hours than my friends’ parents do.” On being a homebody: “I don’t like to be alone. I want to get myself settled…Owning a house will make me very proud. I need a place to be home, to feel it’s mine…I’m a very domestic person.” On when she’s happiest: “I’m happiest when I’m just sitting. I also went to the redwood forest with a friend and went on a hike. It was the most fun I’ve ever had.” On her goals: “I want to get married before I’m 30. And have my house. And make the kind of record I want. And I’d like to win an Oscar before then.” On her favorite age: “40. You’re at your most confident and you know how to take care of your body.” On her biggest mistake: “Falling in love for the first time and abusing the relationship. I was growing. It’s the best thing that ever happened, but I wasn’t ready. I moved too fast.” On her best kiss: “I don’t know if I’ve had a best kiss yet…” On getting celebrity props: “[Georgia Rule costar] Jane Fonda told me, ‘You don’t have to act it, honey, you’ve got it!’”
