Random QOTD - If you are missing 1 of a pair

How long do you hold onto it before giving up on trying to find its "mate"?

I have 3 different shoes where I simply cannot find the other (ya think I need to get more organized? ) I am wondering if I should just toss them or hold on for a bit.

For shoes, it's highly unlikely that the partner is not in your home, right? I would just keep looking until you have found them.

My first question is how in the world did you lose one shoe of not one, but 3 pairs of shoes?

i though this post was going to be about missing socks! i lose 1 every few washes! lol

This usually only happens to me with socks, not shoes, but this is what I do: set it aside and hang on to it for a month or so (sometimes longer if I forget about it) waiting for the match to turn up. Then I give up and throw it out, and 99% of the time, THEN I find the other one when it's already too late.

I would use this as an opportunity to clean out my closet or where ever you keep your shoes, I'm sure their mates will turn up. You know as soon as you throw out the shoe that you'll come across the other one anyway, might as well use this as motivation to get organized.

I can totally see this happening to me because my closet is a mess.
I run out of room so I just keep tossing cr@p in there... it's a disaster area!

I would keep the shoes- the mate has to turn up sooner or later!

This is interesting lol I've never lost a shoe before, let alone 3 shoes! lol I'd hang on to them and do a BIG search when you get the chance and check out all the possibilities before parting with the one shoe you have. If you throw them out before you do this, you are bound to find its partner in a day! lol

Every time we get our laundry from the cleaners there is ALWAYS a sock missing.. Sometimes I put it in with the next back to see if maybe it will come back with a match.. Most times I just throw the stray out.. We have no socks in our house by the way now..
