Random question..did anyone get pregnant with the help of Metformin?

I was put on Metformin about 4 months before I conceived Megan. It obviously worked but it was a STRONG drug that made me stomach sick A LOT. It was the only thing that helped though.

I was wondering if anyone else got pregnant with the help of it and if so, did you go on to have a 2nd child without needing it or did you need to take it again? TIA.

My husband takes metformin for diabetes.

I have PCOS - I used it to help regulate me with DD#1. I went from getting AF at 40 something days to 29 days with it - and we got pregnant the 1st month we tried (I didn't used to O every month).

I was very irregular again after DD#1 and I thought I would need to take it again (my OB said I wouldn't get pregnant without it but to try for a few months 1st and see what happens -b/c I didn't like the side effects of the meds so I didn't want to rush to take them again). I got pregnant the 1st month trying on a 42 or 43 day cycle which totally surprised my OB and us.

I took it to get pregnant with ds. It took 3 months to start o'ing and I was pregnant my 6th month on it. With dd I started it but found out I was pregnant 2 weeks later. Turns out being pregnant and then nursing ds helped regulate my hormones. I ma hoping when it comes time for #3 we won't have a problem but will go back to Metformin if need be. I eat healthy to begin with so I don't really have problems with taking it.
