Never ate at Rare 650, but friends have said they enjoyed it.
Love, love, love Blackstones! We have been there many times and have not had a bad meal yet.
I usually order sushi, DH orders everything. They always have great specials.
You probably can't go wrong with either place.

I prefer Rare but I think that's due to the atmosphere. The food is the same in both places and they have basically the same specials. It might just be the nights we go...but I feel like Rare is usually quieter.
I have yet to try out Insignia, which is owned by the same people as well.

Like pp said, you probably can't go wrong with either place.
I personally prefer Rare 650. When I tried Blackstones for the first time I thought it was good but it didn't really leave an impression on me and therefore I haven't been back. After trying Rare 650 it became a favorite of mine and I've been back many times.

I also prefer Rare. Honestly DH and I thought the food was actually better at Rare (even though it's the same owners) and it was definitely quieter. Their Sunday Surf & Turf special is awesome

I felt like I got the same steak at Outback for 15 dollars that I paid 40-50 bucks for at Blackstones.

i would have to say no to both. we have b een to every steakhouse pretty much and really, ruth chris is the best! always consistent, best steak, tastiest, most tender, cooked right, etc. everything on menu is great!
